Railway Recruitment Cell Western Railway invites ONLINE applications for engagement of Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for the year 2025–26.
🔹 Total Vacancies: 5,349 Apprentice Slots
Training will be provided in various trades across Divisions and Workshops under Western Railway jurisdiction.

🎓 Eligibility Criteria
✅ Age Limit (As on 23/03/2026)
Minimum Age: 15 Years
Maximum Age: 24 Years
Age Relaxation:
SC/ST – 5 Years
OBC – 3 Years
PwBD – 10 Years
Ex-Servicemen – As per rules
✅ Educational Qualification
Must have passed 10th (Matriculation) with minimum 50% marks
Must possess ITI Certificate (NCVT) in relevant trade
❌ Engineering Graduates/Diploma holders are not eligible.
💰 Application Fee
₹100/- (Non-refundable)
No fee for: SC / ST / Women / PwBD candidates
Payment Mode: Online (Debit Card / Credit Card / UPI / Net Banking)
📊 Selection Process
✔ Selection will be based on Merit List
✔ Merit will be prepared by taking average percentage of:
10th Marks
ITI Marks
✔ No written exam
✔ No interview
Tie-breaking Rule:
Older candidate preferred
If DOB same – earlier 10th pass candidate preferred
🏥 Training Period & Stipend
Training Duration: 1 Year
Stipend: As per Railway Board norms
⚠️ No guarantee of permanent Railway job after completion of apprenticeship.
