The Heavy Vehicles Factory Avadi (HVF), Chennai has released an official notification for the engagement of Graduate, Diploma, and Non-Engineering Graduate Apprentices for the year 2026-27 under the Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act, 1973.
Eligible candidates from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Puducherry can apply online through the NATS portal.
Total Vacancies
A total of 450 apprenticeship positions are available:
- Graduate Apprentices (Engineering): 150 Posts
- Diploma Apprentices (Technician): 50 Posts
- Non-Engineering Graduate Apprentices: 250 Posts
Stipend Details
- Graduate Apprentices: ₹18,000 per month
- Diploma Apprentices: ₹16,200 per month
- Non-Engineering Graduates: ₹18,000 per month
Training Duration
- 1 Year Apprenticeship Training
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Graduate Apprentices: B.E / B.Tech in relevant discipline
- Diploma Apprentices: Diploma in Engineering/Technology
- Non-Engineering Graduates: B.A / B.Sc / B.Com / BBA / BCA etc.
❌ Not Eligible:
- Distance education candidates
- Postgraduates (PG)
- Candidates with prior apprenticeship or 1+ year experience
Age Limit
- As per Apprenticeship Rules

- Shortlisting based on marks obtained in qualification
- Final selection through document verification
