3. Pay Scale & Service Conditions

  • Scale: IDA E-3 Pay Scale – ₹24,900 – ₹50,500 (pre-revised)
  • Liability: Transferable anywhere in India
  • Bond: ₹9 Lakhs (5-year service bond)
  • Probation & Training: 2 years probation with 52-week training (13 weeks common managerial + 13 weeks stream-specific + 26 weeks on-job training)

4. Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit (as on closing date of registration)

  • Minimum: 21 years
  • Maximum: 30 years (UR/EWS/OBC-CL)

Relaxations:

  • OBC (NCL) → 33 years
  • SC/ST → 35 years
  • PwBD (General/EWS/OBC-CL) → 40 years
  • PwBD (OBC-NCL) → 43 years
  • PwBD (SC/ST) → 45 years

Educational Qualification (must be completed on or before closing date)

5. Selection Process

  1. Single Computer Based Test (CBT) – 180 minutes (one shift)
  2. Document Verification

No interview. Merit list based purely on CBT marks + qualifying criteria.

  • Wireline Technologies (NGN, FTTx, SIP, etc.) – 15%
  • Transmission Infrastructure (Optical Fiber, DWDM, GPON, etc.) – 15%
  • IP/Data Networks (Routing, IPv4/IPv6, OSI/TCP-IP, etc.) – 15%
  • Additional topics: USIM/eSIM, Signalling, Disaster Management, etc.
